Brian Stockbridge

CEO / Founder

Brian Stockbridge has 20+ years’ experience of corporate activity, including direct investments / financing into companies, IPOs, capital raisings and mergers & acquisitions for both public and private companies.  Brian is a Founder of First Sentinel and has held board positions on several public & private companies throughout the years, most notably with Rangers Football Club, Allegiance Insurance and NQ Minerals. Brian held director & management positions with Zeus Capital, Allenby Capital, Noble & Company and Grant Thornton.  He was a Regulator for the Panel on Takeovers & Mergers, where he resided over 150+ transactions valued up to and over £1bn. 

Aimee Freeding

Executive Director / Founder

Aimee Freeding has 20+ years in leading product and platform experiences for the world’s op tech  firms. She’s held R&D positions with firms such as Xbox, Microsoft, Oracle and Expedia. Aimee is a Founder of First Sentinel and an investor in the resource & tech sectors, with a special focus on AR, VR, Games, IoT and FinTech. Aimee holds an MSc in Human Computer Interaction from the DePaul University School of Computer Science.

Colin Maltby

Executive Director / Founder / Advisory

Colin is a qualified English Lawyer and Banker with over 20 years’ experience.  Colin is the Founder of the First Sentinel Advisory division and previously founded his own  profitable law firm, On Demand Lawyers SA in Latin America. Colin is principally based in our rep office in Buenos Aires, where he is developing the Latin American market.  He brings value to the First Sentinel business from both the legal and financial arenas, having worked in-house at Coutts & Co. and UBS.  Colin specialises in international investment structuring, corporate / commercial and corporate finance work for family offices, SMEs and listed companies.  Colin (a non-practising solicitor) qualified with Theodore Goddard (now Addleshaw Goddard) going on to become a Partner with Blake Morgan within 3 years of qualification.

Shane Perry

Executive Director / FS Business Finance

Shane is the Managing Director of First Sentinel Business Finance, having previously been the CEO of the Australian invoice purchasing company Perennial Enterprises, which was acquired by First Sentinel in 2017. Under Shane’s growth strategy for the business, Perennial purchased over AUS $54 million in invoices in 2017.  Perennial had operated in the Debtor Finance sector for 20+ years in Sydney and was a strategic acquisition by First Sentinel PLC.  Shane is also the Director on several private businesses in Australia.  He also served in Royal Australian Navy with duties in Sydney and the Middle East.

Paolo Pieri

Proposed Non-Executive Director

Paolo is CEO of Circle Health. He joined as the Chief Financial Officer in November 2010 after spending five years at lastminute.com. He spent the majority of this time as the UK Finance Director and subsequently became the Managing Director of some European divisions, transforming their financial performance from loss-making to profitability. Prior to this Paolo spent seven years in the Virgin organisation, three of which as Finance Director of the 200-store strong Virgin Megastore business. Paolo has a Bachelor of Accountancy from Glasgow University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants for Scotland.

Mattie Rice

Non-Executive Director

Matthew has extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management and board membership. He has established investor connections in Ireland, the UK and the USA.  Matthew was Head of Financial Planning & Private Banking for Ulster Bank – Ireland and the UK Managing Director for CBD Capital Ltd.   Matthew is currently the UK Managing Director for Prometheus Capital in Chicago, a Director for Club 9 Sports and a Senior Advisor to Keith Bishop Associates, a leading London PR firm, advising corporate and high net worth individuals. Mattie holds a First Class Honours MBA from the Irish Management Institute.

Tom Dignall

Non-Executive Director

Tom has over 30 years’ experience in managing both small & medium sized enterprises. For the past decade, Tom has been the Group Finance Director of Advance Construction Group Limited (ACG) in Scotland.  The yearly turnover of ACG is ~£160m and the company employs over 1300 direct employees. Previously, Tom managed the MBO of Brownridge Plastics Ltd in England and became the Managing Director / Majority Shareholder.  He sold the company in 2000.   Tom has extensive experience in acquisitions, restructuring plans and MBOs.  He is also a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA).
