CEO / Founder
Brian Stockbridge has 20+ years’ experience of corporate activity, including direct investments / financing into companies, IPOs, capital raisings and mergers & acquisitions for both public and private companies. Brian is a Founder of First Sentinel and has held board positions on several public & private companies throughout the years, most notably with Rangers Football Club, Allegiance Insurance and NQ Minerals. Brian held director & management positions with Zeus Capital, Allenby Capital, Noble & Company and Grant Thornton. He was a Regulator for the Panel on Takeovers & Mergers, where he resided over 150+ transactions valued up to and over £1bn.
Executive Director / Founder
Aimee Freeding has 20+ years in leading product and platform experiences for the world’s top tech firms. She’s held R&D positions with firms such as Xbox, Microsoft, Oracle and Expedia. Aimee is a Founder of First Sentinel and an investor in the resource & tech sectors, with a special focus on AR, VR, Games, IoT and FinTech. Aimee holds an MSc in Human Computer Interaction from the DePaul University School of Computer Science.
Executive Director / Founder / Advisory
Colin is a lawyer and banker with over 25 years’ experience. Colin is the Founder of the First Sentinel Advisory division and previously founded his own profitable law firm, On Demand Lawyers SA in Latin America. Colin is principally based in our London office, but also spends some time in our rep office in Buenos Aires, where he is developing the Latin American market. He brings value to the First Sentinel business from both the legal and financial arenas, having worked in-house at Coutts & Co. and UBS. Colin specialises in international investment structuring, corporate / commercial and corporate finance work for family offices, SMEs and listed companies.
Executive Director / FS Business Finance
Shane is the Managing Director of First Sentinel Business Finance, having previously been the CEO of the Australian invoice purchasing company Perennial Enterprises, which was acquired by First Sentinel in 2017. Under Shane’s growth strategy for the business, Perennial purchased over AUS $54 million in invoices in 2017. Perennial had operated in the Debtor Finance sector for 20+ years in Sydney and was a strategic acquisition by First Sentinel PLC. Shane is also the Director on several private businesses in Australia. He served in Royal Australian Navy with duties in Sydney and the Middle East.
Proposed Non-Executive Director
Paolo is CEO of Circle Health. He joined as the Chief Financial Officer in November 2010 after spending five years at lastminute.com. He spent the majority of this time as the UK Finance Director and subsequently became the Managing Director of some European divisions, transforming their financial performance from loss-making to profitability. Prior to this Paolo spent seven years in the Virgin organisation, three of which as Finance Director of the 200-store strong Virgin Megastore business. Paolo has a Bachelor of Accountancy from Glasgow University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants for Scotland.
Tom has over 30 years’ experience in managing both small & medium sized enterprises. For the past decade, Tom has been the Group Finance Director of Advance Construction Group Limited (ACG) in Scotland. The yearly turnover of ACG is ~£160m and the company employs over 1300 direct employees. Previously, Tom managed the MBO of Brownridge Plastics Ltd in England and became the Managing Director / Majority Shareholder. He sold the company in 2000. Tom has extensive experience in acquisitions, restructuring plans and MBOs. He is also a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA).
Finance Director / FS Business Finance
Christen is the Finance Director of First Sentinel Business Finance, having previously been a Director of the Australian invoice purchasing company Perennial Enterprises, which was acquired by First Sentinel in 2017. Christen leads the operations, accounting and auditing of First Sentinel Business Finance. She also serves as the Business Development Director for the business, focusing on new client acquisition and ensuring client satisfaction.
Senior Analyst – Investments and Portfolio Operations
Liza works with First Sentinel Leadership in sourcing and developing financial evaluations of deals and investment opportunities. She also manages strategic partnerships and investor relations. Liza drives First Sentinel’s portfolio operations in Small Business Lending, E-commerce and Invoice Factoring. She previously worked in portfolio management at BST Management Consulting and has experience as a financial analyst at M&A Research Centre (MARC). Liza graduated with a First Class Honors Degree in Banking & International Finance from Cass Business School, City University of London.
Head of Family Office
Lyndsey focuses on developing family office and ultra-high net worth client business for First Sentinel. Lyndsey’s private investor network has been built over her 35-year career in the gaming industry. Lyndsey continues to consult for premier brands such as Monte Carlo and Cosmopolitian in Las Vegas and was previously the Executive Director of Gaming at Les Ambassadeurs Club, Mayfair. Through her executive roles with prestigious gaming establishments across London, such as The Ritz Club and the Les A Club, she continues to represent the financial interests of several family offices from across the globe, specializing in the Middle and Far East.
Rahim leads business development and sales for First Sentinel Investments. He began his career in London as a derivatives trader and market maker for IG. Rahim then developed the secondary market strategy for ICAP as Head of Trading Services before moving into more traditional investment banking for firms such as London Capital Group and Alexander David Securities. Rahim achieved an Honours Degree in Economics from Durham University.
Senior Associate Lawyer
Gabrielle is dual-qualified, admitted to practice in England & Wales and in Brazil, and specialises in corporate and commercial advice, M&A, equity investments and corporate finance. Gabrielle started her legal career in Brazil with the firm Motta Fernandes, becoming an Associate in 2009. Subsequently, she headed up the legal department of an infrastructure investment company of GP Investments, a leading Latin American private equity firm. Gabrielle also worked in the London-based consultancy practice Nestor Advisors, specialising in corporate governance, advising clients across the EMEA region. Gabrielle has a master’s degree (LL.M. with Distinction) from the London School of Economics in Corporate & Commercial Law and an MBA in Finance from Ibmec Business School, Brazil.
Josefina is a 3rd year student of Law at Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) looking forward to completing her studies on International Fraud and Financial Law in the UK. She has also studied Economics for 2 years at Universidad de Buenos Aires too. As a junior trainee, she helps drafting and reviewing major client agreements, merges and acquisitions. With five years of experience in corporate, taxation, and criminal law, Josefina worked as a Paralegal and Senior Payroll in renowned law firms and Companies in Buenos Aires, such as Canosa Abogados and Medizin de Servicios S.A.
Melvyn is an experienced market maker that has been in the City for over forty years. Melvyn learnt his trade at Smith Brothers before moving fifteen years later across the market to the newly formed BZW. After 10 ten years at BZW, he then joined Nomura to
head up the retail market making section and then later on joining Kleinwort Benson and later Bastion Capital. Melvyn has extensive experience in both the Short Sterling Futures market and Equities. At First Sentinel, Melvyn services high net worth individual investors using CFD’s and Spread Betting platforms in major US and European stocks.
Stan has been in the city since leaving school joining Henderson Crosthwaite where he trained to be a Stock Exchange Dealer in the old open Market and was there for 20 years before joining Brewin Dolphin. There he became a Divisional Director running a portfolio desk. He was also the main dealer in football club shares where he helped to build stakes in leading clubs. He then teamed up with Melvyn at Bastion Capital where they looked after high net worth clients trading European and US stocks through CFD’s and Spread Bets.
Head of Compliance
Jonathan is a seasoned Compliance & Wealth Management Professional and has extensive experience in investment, pension products and compliance. With 30+ years’ experience, Jonathan has worked as the Technical Director / Compliance for Intethic, Head of Compliance for Bestinvest, and the Pensions Technical Manager for Inter-Alliance. Jonathan’s qualifications include: Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments – Level 6 Diploma, Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Diploma Member of the Pensions Management Institute. Jonathan also serves the public as the elected Councillor for Bridge Ward – Maidstone Borough Council.
Jay focuses on digital investor relations and has developed the marketing & web development operations for private & public firms in the mining, finance, technology, bio-technology, and investment sectors. Jay has built successful marketing programs for international clients such as Sirius Minerals (LON: SXX), FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), Strategic Minerals Plc. (AIM: SML), Solid Energy LLC, and IndoTerra Resources. As the European Marketing Manager for FedEx, he carried out marketing campaigns for the region, and executed a brand identity campaign for the FedEx branch in Reading, UK. Jason achieved a Masters Degree in Marketing from Regents University in London.
